About DailyCompressor

Why DailyCompressor exists: 29 free image and PDF tools that run entirely in your browser, with nothing ever uploaded, no account, and no daily limit.

Every File Stays on Your Device

DailyCompressor is a set of 29 free tools for converting, editing, compressing, and extracting information from images and PDFs, and every one of them runs entirely inside your browser. Uploading a file to a stranger's server to do something as simple as rotating a PDF or resizing a photo always felt like the wrong default, so this site was built around a different one: your file never leaves your device in the first place, not "deleted after an hour" like most competing tools state, never transmitted at all.

Why This Approach

Most online file tools work the same way: you upload a file, a server somewhere processes it, and the result comes back, with the original usually deleted from that server sometime later. That model asks you to trust a policy rather than removing the need for trust entirely. Modern browsers can do genuinely heavy work directly on your device now, real image processing through the Canvas API, real video encoding through WebAssembly, even AI models for background removal, watermark removal, and upscaling, which means the upload step most tools still rely on is no longer a technical necessity for a large share of everyday file tasks. DailyCompressor is built on that premise: if the work can happen on your device, it should. See the FAQ and Privacy Policy for the specifics of how that works.

What's Actually Here

Twenty-nine tools across six categories:

  • Convert — image format conversion, SVG and ICO generation, GIF tools, and the PDF conversions people do most: image to PDF, PDF to JPG, merging, splitting, rotating, and converting to and from Word
  • Edit — cropping, rotating and flipping, watermarking, black and white effects, stripping hidden photo metadata, and PDF watermarks and page numbers
  • Resize — exact dimensions, percentages, and social media presets
  • Compress — images, GIFs, and PDFs
  • AI Tools — background removal, watermark removal, and image upscaling, each running a local AI model on your device
  • Extract — pulling editable text out of an image with on-device OCR

Every one of them is free, with no signup, no daily limit, and no watermark added to your output. See the full, current list on the All Tools page.

What This Site Doesn't Pretend to Be

This is a focused toolkit, not a full design suite or a document editor: it does not edit text inside a PDF, fill PDF forms, remove a watermark from a PDF specifically, or trace a photo into a vector graphic, among a few other things worth being upfront about rather than implying otherwise. Where research turned up real demand for something this site doesn't do, that gap is stated plainly on the relevant tool's page and on the FAQ page, rather than quietly ignored.
